Anchor & Anthem was founded by two sisters who grew up on Cleveland’s North Coast, where some of our favorite memories were made on the water. We grew up believing that the best days are often the simplest ones - family boat days at the yacht club, summer evenings spent sipping an Aperol Spritz while laughing with friends as the sun set over Lake Erie, and long summer days spent soaking up everything our hometown and its shoreline had to offer.
Our love for the coast eventually took us beyond home, to the charming beach towns and timeless traditions of the East Coast. From Nantucket and the Hamptons to coastal New England, we fell in love with the effortless style and laid-back way of life that define those places. But no matter where we traveled, Cleveland’s North Coast was where it all began - and where the feeling behind Anchor & Anthem has always felt most at home.
Anchor & Anthem was created to capture that feeling: the ease of a summer by the water, the nostalgia of traditions passed down, and the simple joy of being surrounded by the people you love.
The name Anchor & Anthem reflects the spirit behind the brand. The anchor represents our nautical roots - a love for the water, time spent boating, and the timeless traditions of coastal life. The anthem speaks to our American spirit - pride in where we come from, freedom to explore, and the shared moments that bring people together from shore to shore.
Together, they represent a way of living we’ve always believed in: classic, relaxed, and proudly rooted in coastal Americana.
